In principle, the batteries of a stairlift usually last 3-5 years.

Of course, this depends on how often your lift and batteries are used.

If you use a stair lift over several floors and the lift goes up or down 10 - 15 times a day, you can assume that the batteries in this case will not have such a long life expectancy.
