When should the stairlift battery be replaced?

Table of contents:

What you can expect here:

At some point, it will be time to replace the batteries in your stairlift. In this article, you will find out how you can easily recognise when the battery in your stairlift needs to be replaced.

The batteries of a stairlift generally last for 3-5 years.

Of course, this depends on how often your lift and the batteries are used.

If you have a stairlift that runs over one floor and is only used twice a day, you can assume that these batteries will last considerably longer.

If you use a stairlift over several floors and the lift goes up or down 10 - 15 times a day, you can assume that the batteries will not have such a long life expectancy in this case.

Another decisive factor for the service life of such batteries is, of course, the Weight of the user.

The battery life cannot therefore be generalised and varies depending on the user and living situation.

Sonilift Tip:

We generally recommend annual maintenance, as this is when the service technician checks how powerful the battery still is. If the voltage drops below 22.5 volts, we recommend replacing the batteries.
