What is a declaration of assignment?

A declaration of assignment is often used so that the customer does not have to advance the care insurance subsidy for the improvement of the living environment.

However, there are a few things to consider for both the customer and the provider.

This is because an assignment is only valid if the application is submitted in writing by the long-term care insurance fund and the customer signs the assignment.

After the stairlift has been installed, the following documents must be submitted to the care insurance fund:

1. confirmation that the lift has been carried out. This is the installation report.

2. the total invoice less the personal contribution. This is the final invoice.

3. the declaration of assignment.

A declaration of assignment is a service for you as a customer. As a provider, it often means a very high administrative burden and delayed receipt of payment of up to 3 months.

If you submit the application yourself, you will usually receive the money in your account within approx. 2 weeks.

Use the option of an extended payment term with your provider.

Many long-term care insurance companies no longer accept an assignment.

You can also find further and more detailed information in our YouTube video "What do I need to bear in mind when applying to the care insurance fund for improvements to my living environment?".
